Helen recently completed work on the pilot for Outside In, an exciting new interactive digital experience using storytelling, mindfulness, drama and craft activities to help children connect with themselves and their environment.
Through a powerful narrative dealing with the anxieties of modern life, it aims to give children imaginative tools to help them self-care and enable them to deal safely with future moments of stress and mental strain. This work couldn’t feel more relevant right now and Helen hopes to be back for the full production in the future.
Helen is currently understudying on the new musical ‘Pippi Longstocking’ at the Royal and Derngate, Northampton. An all-singing, all-dancing new version of Astrid Lindgren’s classic stories, this swashbuckling adventure is playing until 31st December 2019 – catch it while you can!
After a successful UK tour, Helen’s one-woman show ‘Loop’ came to a close this week. Some of the incredible feedback from audience members has included:

After an incredible week of research and development at Shop Front Theatre Coventry for Loop, Helen performed an extract from the show last weekend at Derby Theatre in a scratch performance hosted by In Good Company and Notnow Collective.

Helen will be appearing in the brand new one-woman show ‘Loop’ this autumn/winter. A playful and candid narrative that combines new writing, live looping audio, and contemporary performance to explore loneliness, Helen can’t wait to take on this exciting new challenge!
This weekend, Helen will be participating in 14/48 – the world’s quickest theatre festival! – at the Arena Theatre in Wolverhampton. It’s a speed festival where 14 world-premiere short plays are created over the course of two days, or 48 hours – with a team of directors, writers, actors and designers – many of whom will never have met!
At the end of this month, Helen will be appearing in ‘Carword’ at the Core, Corby, an evening of five exciting new short plays by Core Playwrights Ensemble – all set within the confines of a car. You can get your tickets on the Core website.
